UAE-India travel update: Air India group to operate 30 West Asia flights today
Non-scheduled services deployed across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and beyond
DUBAI – Air travel between the UAE and India is seeing targeted adjustments as Air India and Air India Express are operating 30 scheduled and non-scheduled flights across the West Asia region today.
A key feature of the revised plan is the deployment of additional ad-hoc services, particularly from the UAE, to support passenger movement on high-demand routes.
Airlines continue to coordinate with aviation authorities in India and the Gulf to ensure all operations comply with regulatory requirements.
UAE operations
Out of the total services, 10 non-scheduled flights are planned to and from the UAE, subject to slot availability and prevailing conditions at departure stations. These flights are being operated with the necessary approvals from relevant Indian and UAE regulatory authorities.

Dubai will see ad-hoc departures from Air India to Delhi and Air India Express to Mangalore, while Abu Dhabi will connect to Delhi via Air India Express. Sharjah will feature Air India Express services to Amritsar and Kannur. Ras Al Khaimah is also included in the network, although specific operating sectors are not detailed, and Al Ain remains without scheduled or ad-hoc operations.
Regional routes
Beyond the UAE, scheduled flights continue on select routes in the region. In Oman, Muscat maintains regular operations connecting to Delhi, Kannur, Mumbai and Thiruvananthapuram through Air India Express. However, Salalah remains without any scheduled or ad-hoc services.
In Saudi Arabia, Jeddah and Riyadh continue to operate scheduled flights. From Jeddah, Air India services connect to Delhi and Mumbai, while Air India Express operates flights to Bengaluru, Kozhikode and Mangalore. Riyadh is linked to Delhi through Air India’s scheduled network.
Several other regional destinations, including Bahrain, Doha in Qatar, Kuwait, and Tel Aviv in Israel, have no operations listed for Monday.
Passenger support
Air India confirmed that all its flights to North America, Europe, Australia and other global regions are continuing as per schedule, ensuring stability across long-haul routes.
Passengers affected by temporary suspensions on certain routes are being offered flexible options, including rebooking to a future date at no additional cost or requesting a full refund. These services are accessible through the airline’s official website, with customer support available round the clock via dedicated helplines.
Air India Express passengers departing from the UAE can rebook on additional commercial flights operating from various UAE stations to destinations across India. The airline is also offering support through its AI-powered assistant, Tia, available on WhatsApp, providing a digital channel for quick rebooking and assistance.
The airline group is actively reaching out to affected travellers using registered mobile numbers, encouraging passengers to keep their contact details updated to ensure timely notifications regarding schedule changes and available options. Further ad-hoc operations are being explored by the Air India group to strengthen connectivity between West Asia and India as conditions evolve.
